Clinical Director

he/him/his

It’s a privilege that I have the opportunity to assist people who want to improve their lives. I’m committed to helping people with emotional control, problems in their relationships, and struggles with life meaning and direction.

My path to social work began in the Peace Corps, where I served as a volunteer in West Africa. I received my Masters in Social Work at Saint Louis University with an emphasis on mental health, and I’m now a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have worked in adolescent mental health, in case management and with refugee populations.

I was trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) in 2009 and received my certification as a DBT-Linehan Board of Certification Certified Clinician in 2018. I have served as a DBT therapist throughout the St. Louis region and began at LifeWork in 2012. I have been the Clinical Director at Lifework since Oct. 2020.

I have experience with adolescents, adults and families. In addition to DBT, I am trained in Prolonged Exposure Therapy for treatment of PTSD.

My best qualities as a therapist are openness, patience, and optimism. It's important to me that each session is as useful as possible, and I put thought and preparation into each meeting. I seek out experiences to work with diverse populations to develop my own knowledge and understanding.

I place an emphasis on tools that clients can use the moment they leave the office. At the same time, I want to assist clients to improve their lives and work toward long-term goals.

My partner and I enjoy spending time with friends and family, traveling and enjoying time outdoors with our Corgi.

I accept the following insurance plans: Anthem BCBS, Aetna, Cigna, Medicare, TriCare and United Healthcare. My out of pocket rate is $130 per session.
