I believe that every person deserves to feel empowered to live a life free of intense emotional pain. I am committed to assisting my clients in accessing the skills needed to tolerate painful emotions. I place an emphasis on teaching clients tools that can be used the moment they leave the office. I am passionate about helping people gain the skills needed to improve their quality of life at home, work, school, and in relationships. My aim is to honor the complexity and experience of each client or family in a process that leads to lasting and meaningful change.
I received my master’s degree in Professional Counseling at Lindenwood University, and I am licensed in the state of Missouri. I have been working in the mental health field for more than 12 years, and I have extensive training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), which assists people who have difficulty managing high levels of emotion that lead to impulsive or harmful actions. I utilize this framework to help clients create a life worth living. I have experience working with pre-teens, teens, and adults.
I began my internship at LifeWork in 2013, and served in many different roles in the last eight years, including Operations Manager and I created LifeWork’s program for pre-teens. I was named Executive Director of LifeWork in Jan. 2022.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, friends, and loved ones. I also enjoy cycling, hiking, reading, traveling, and spending time in nature.
I accept the following insurance plans: Anthem BCBS, Aetna, Cigna, United Healthcare. My out of pocket rate is $130 per session.
