Licensed Psychologist, Therapist

he/him/his

I believe obstacles can be paths and hope to be of service to those who are struggling. The willingness to ask for help requires courage. I strive to provide guidance and support as we explore your inner strengths. I do not ask my clients to do anything that I would not do. I recognize my own fallibilities because I am human, too. Through collaborative work and a desire to push towards change, my goal is to aid in recognizing what you have control over in order to make the most of your valuable time.

I am straight-forward yet compassionate because I believe genuineness nurtures growth. We cannot choose what happens to us; however, we can learn how to respond more effectively as we build toward a life worth living.

I have been in the behavioral health field for over 15 years in a variety of positions. I am originally from the Chicagoland area and attended Loyola University Chicago where I obtained a Bachelor’s in Psychology with a minor in Psychology of Crime & Justice. Upon graduation, I moved to Southern California where I worked full-time with individuals suffering from mental illnesses, substance use concerns, and legal issues. I completed a Master's in Psychology at Pepperdine University while assisting families effected by gang violence, homelessness, and systemic racism. I attended graduate school at Pacific University in Oregon and received training in psychological evaluations and evidence-based practices in community, forensic, and inpatient settings. My doctoral dissertation explored voluntary transience among young adults, while my graduate thesis focused on community resources and revocation rates among youth offenders. After completing an APA-accredited predoctoral internship in Washington DC, I graduated with my PsyD (Doctor of Psychology) in 2015. I received postdoctoral training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) in intensive outpatient and forensic inpatient hospital settings, respectively. I have worked in the community behavioral health field providing individual and group therapy, conducting psychological evaluations, teaching mindfulness skills, and providing trainings on Motivational Interviewing (MI). My goal is to ensure the highest quality of care for my clients while being collaborative, genuine, and validating.

I am a licensed psychologist in the state of Missouri and a DBT-Linehan Board of Certification, Certified Clinician™.

I accept the following insurance plans: BCBS, Aetna, UHC, Cigna. My out of pocket rate is $170 per session. I have experience working with adults and adolescents, in addition to individuals identifying as LGBTQIAP+.

In my free time I enjoy spending time with those I care about, trying to read my constantly growing stack of books, exploring new neighborhoods with my dog, listening to true-crime podcasts, and eating spicy foods.

I look forward to working with you!
