Practicum Opportunities

LifeWork Clinical Field Experience: Immersion in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)

 

Interested in exploring clinical practice in a supportive setting?

 

LifeWork is a private therapy practice in St. Louis County, specializing in the treatment of emotion dysregulation, depression, anxiety, self-harm, suicidality and trauma. We are a premier provider of DBT in the St. Louis area. In addition to therapy services, LifeWork provides training to both clients and the community in general.

 

LifeWork’s Clinical Field Experience program is open to graduate-level Counseling and MSW (Concentration) students wishing to enter clinical practice post-graduation. Details of the program are as follows:

 

• 600-hour, two semester field experience;

• Opportunity to learn DBT from the ground up in supportive clinical environment;

• Robust supervisory experience, including weekly individual supervision and group consultation team;

• Weekly skill-building training sessions;

• DBT skills group co-facilitation and participation in community education events;

• Opportunities for advancement to counseling individual clients;

• Evenings and Saturdays (partial-day) required.
